For the third consecutive time, the Institute of Chartered Accountants of Sri Lanka (CA Sri Lanka) signed a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) with ISACA Sri Lanka Chapter to provide a range of IT-related programmes and skills aimed at enhancing the competencies of Chartered Accountants as well as CA Students.
Mr. Sanjaya Bandara, President of CA Sri Lanka, and Mr. Lakmal Embuldeniya, President of the ISACA Sri Lanka Chapter, signed the MoU, which will be in force for 24 months.
The agreement also paves the way for both CA Sri Lanka and ISACA Chapter to offer a variety of programmes, including seminars and workshops, at discounted rates for members of both bodies, while also helping members of both CA and ISACA obtain the necessary Continuous Professional Development (CPD) requirements.
With the signing of the agreement, the ISACA Sri Lanka Chapter will also offer the necessary resources for the CA Sri Lanka IT Faculty to run certificate programmes on cybersecurity fundamentals.
CA Sri Lanka’s Vice President Mr. Heshana Kuruppu, Council Member Mr. Tishan Subasinghe, acting Chief Executive Officer Mr. Prasanna Liyanage, and Head of ICT Mr. Sanjeewa Sapumana, while ISACA was represented by its Vice President Mr. Ashane Jayasekara, as well as Secretary Mr. Indika Rajakaruna and Treasurer Mr. M. D. R. N. Dayarathne, were present at the signing event.
