Ten outstanding students of the Institute of Chartered Accountants of Sri Lanka (CA Sri Lanka) were recently awarded scholarships by the Institute of Chartered Accountants in England and Wales to help them pursue the exclusive dual membership pathway offered jointly by both ICAEW and CA Sri Lanka.
ICAEW, one of the oldest and most prestigious professional bodies in the world, which was founded in 1888, chose CA Sri Lanka for the first time in history to award this special scholarship in recognition of the high-quality programme and the exceptional performance of students pursuing at CA Sri Lanka.
The ICAEW scholarship covers the cost of tuition fees, examination fees, and ICAEW digital textbook costs for three ICAEW Advanced Level modules, namely Corporate Reporting, Strategic Business Management, and Case Study.
CA Students who are either following the Corporate Level or who have completed the Corporate Level were selected for the scholarships following a rigorous selection process. The students were selected based on their previous education as well as academic records, goals and aspirations as well as their personal and financial circumstances.
The exclusive dual pathway scheme enables CA students to obtain two qualifications from ICAEW and CA Sri Lanka simultaneously, which increases their standing in the corporate world, enhances global mobility, and doubles their success as a respected Chartered Accountant.
