The Institute of Chartered Accountants of Sri Lanka (CA Sri Lanka) continued to be the choice of champions with the highest achievers of the commerce stream of the 2018 GCE Advanced Level examination choosing CA Sri Lanka to kick start their journey to be Chartered Accountants.
President of CA Sri Lanka Mr. Jagath Perera presented the scholarships to the Commerce Stream’s Island first Kasun Wickramarathna of Maliyadeva College, Kurunegala, Island second Uvini Ranaweera of Rathnavali Balika Vidyalaya, Gampaha and island third Malithi Jayaratne of Musaeus College, Colombo at a ceremony held at the Institute today, 31st December 2018. CA Sri Lanka’s Vice President Mr. Manil Jayesinghe, Council Member Mr. Sanjaya Bandara and Secretary Mr. Prasanna Liyanage were also present at the event.

The benchmark CA Sri Lanka qualification has always attracted the best and brightest students from commerce and non-commerce streams. Students with a minimum of three simple passes in any subject stream at the GCE Advanced Level exam can register for the globally recognised Chartered Accounting qualification, which has also been recognised as a qualification that is comparable to a Master’s Degree standard, as per an independent evaluation carried out by the National Academic Recognition Information Centre (NARIC) of the United Kingdom.
