The Institute of Chartered Accountants of Sri Lanka (CA Sri Lanka) recently extended its support to the 2017 International Directors Summit, jointly organised by the Malaysian Directors Academy (MINDA) and Razak School of Government (RSOG), which will take place from 21st to 22nd August 2017 in Kuala Lumpur, Malaysia.
The International Directors Summit has become an important forum for open and constructive exchange of effective corporate directors’ policies and practices. This year the summit which will revolve around the theme ‘‘Enhancing resilience through governance for sustainability,’ will attract over 500 directors from across Asia including Sri Lanka, and will feature over 40 international and local speakers.
This year, the summit aims to address how boards can respond to periods of continuing change to ensure business sustainability over the growing challenges from uncertainty in political, economic and social environment. The two-day summit which will be held under the patronage of Datuk Seri Johari Abdul Ghani, Malaysia’s Minister of Finance II, is specially designed for chairpersons, independent directors, executive directors, CEOs, C-Suite executives, board members, senior management, policy makers, thought leaders and decision makers representing all sectors.
During the summit, speakers will focus on addressing how boards respond to periods of change over the growing challenges through uncertainty in political, economic and social environment to ensure business sustainability.

Estrada, Chairman of the Institute of Corporate Directors (ICD), Philippines.

Since 2016, both CA Sri Lanka and MINDA have been working closely in an effort to enhance and develop the effectiveness of the Board and its Directors. An agreement was also signed between both organisations in this regard.
