The much awaited 2017 national budget by the coalition government will come under focus at the annual budget seminar organised by the Institute of Chartered Accountants of Sri Lanka (CA Sri Lanka).
The annual seminar, which will feature a keynote speech by Finance Minister Ravi Karunanayake, will be held on Saturday, 12th November 2016 at the Cinnamon Lakeside, Colombo.
The seminar, an annual event and among the most sought after events in the institute, will include a panel session of industry experts, who will share their thoughts on the national budget presented by the coalition government for 2017.
The panel session will comprise of CA Sri Lanka President Mr. Lasantha Wickremasinghe, Director / CEO of Lion Brewery (Ceylon) PLC Mr. Suresh Shah, CA Sri Lanka Council Member Mr. N R Gajendran, Commissioner General of Inland Revenue Ms. Kalyani Dahanayake, Deputy Commissioner General of Inland Revenue Ms. Dhammika Gunatillaka, and Deputy Secretary to the Treasury Mr. S R Attygalle. The session will be moderated by the chairman of the CA Sri Lanka Faculty of Taxation Mr. Duminda Hulangamuwa.
The seminar is open to professionals, students as well as members of the public. The budget highlights will be delivered by the alternate chairperson of the CA Sri Lanka’s Faculty of Taxation Ms. Shamila Jayasekara.
