Speaker of Parliament, Hon. Karu Jayasuriya will be the chief guest at the ceremonial induction of the 23rd President of the Institute of Chartered Accountants of Sri Lanka (CA Sri Lanka), Lasantha Wickremasinghe, which will be held on Tuesday, 26th January 2016.
Hon. Ravi Karunanayake, Minister of Finance and Dr. Giancarlo Attolini, Chairman of the International Federation of Accountants SMP Committee, will be the Guests of Honour.
Mr. Wickremasinghe will take over the reins of the institute from Mr. Arjuna Herath. Wickremasinghe, an FCA, functioned as the Vice President during Mr. Herath’s tenure prior to his elevation as President of the institute, which spans a history of over 56 years.
Mr. Wickremasinghe who has served in the CA Sri Lanka Council since 2006, is a board member of the Confederation of Asian Pacific Accountants (CAPA) and technical advisor to the South Asian Federation of Accountants (SAFA). He is a Partner at B.R. De Silva & Co., Chartered Accountants.
