President of the International Federation of Accountants (IFAC), Ms. Olivia Kirtley, met Minister of Finance Hon. Ravi Karunanayake on 28th July 2015 at the ministry. During the meeting, the role of IFAC in enhancing the accounting profession was discussed at length, while also matters in relation to the progression of the accounting profession in Sri Lanka was touched upon. IFAC CFO Mr. Russel Guthrie, Secretary to the Ministry of Finance Dr. R H S Samaratunga, President of CA Sri Lanka Mr. ArjunaHerath and CEO Mr. Aruna Alwis were also present at the meeting.
