One of the world’s largest global accounting bodies, CPA Australia has approved the BSc. Applied Accounting degree offered by the Institute of Chartered Accountants of Sri Lanka (CA Sri Lanka).
The BSc. in Applied Accounting which is currently on its third intake has been accredited by CPA Australia as meeting the academic entry requirements of the CPA Programme. The accreditation allows students who have completed the CA Sri Lanka degree programme to gain into the CPA Programme as an Associate member of CPA Australia.
CPA Australia is one of the world’s largest accounting bodies with a membership of more than 150,000 finance, accounting and business professionals in 121 countries across the globe. CPA Australia boasts of affiliations with a range of leading accounting bodies all around the world, and also enjoys university affiliations with leading Australian universities.
The BSc. in Applied Accounting which is offered as a general degree (three years) and a special degree (four year) is recognized by the University Grants Commission and aims to create employable graduates with the required skills, competencies and industry knowledge to fulfill a successful accounting career.
Apart from the core accounting discipline, the multi-disciplinary degree programme consists of several modules covering Business Communication, Economics, Project Management, Corporate Law, Human Resource Management, and Information & Communication Technology and is conducted by a fully-fledged lecture panel comprising of university lecturers and industry professionals.
