The Corporate Directors Programme jointly conducted by the Institute of Chartered Accountants of Sri Lanka (CA Sri Lanka) and the Securities and Exchange Commission will this week focus on identifying the various ways and means of accessing capital markets, raising capital through debt and equity, business and share valuations.
The session which will be held on Thursday, 31st August 2014 will feature Mr. Vajira Kulatilaka, Chief Executive officer of NDB Capital Holdings PLC will teach participants on the importance of contribution to value creation, mergers acquisitions and joint ventures, and short and long term implications of corporate borrowing on cash flow management.
The panelists for the sixth session will be Mr. Arjuna Herath, President of CA Sri Lanka and Partner / Head of Advisory Services of Ernst & Young, Sri Lanka and Maldives, and Mr. Steven Enderby, Executive Director / Chief Executive Officer of Hemas Holdings PLC.
Meanwhile the fifth session featuring Mr. Renuka Wijayawardhane, Chief Operating Officer of the Colombo Stock Exchange (CSE) focused on the CSE regulations for listing, admission to the official list, initial listing application, prospectus and its content and continuing listing requirements and delisting of entities.
The panelists during the fifth session were Ms. Priyanthi Peiris, Attorney at law and Chairperson of P W Corporate Secretarial (Pvt) Ltd and Director of Abans Electricals PLC, Asia Asset Finance PLC and Lanka Orix Finance PLC and Mr. Rey Abeygunawardena, Managing Director – Acuity Partners.
