CA Sri Lanka brings down globally renowned Duke Corporate Education to conduct unique programme on strategic thinking

In its capacity as one of the country’s foremost professional organisations which focuses at enhancing the standards of professionals across the country, the Institute of Chartered Accountants of Sri Lanka (CA Sri Lanka) will conduct a two day programme on strategic thinking with the internationally renowned Duke Corporate Education (Duke CE) in June this year.

The unique programme has been tailor made for professionals from fast growing economies to give them that all important leverage on how to invigorate their business strategy whilst becoming effective business leaders who inspire change, bringing about all round success at a corporate level.

Duke CE has been ranked the world’s number one in Custom Executive Education for 11 consecutive years by Financial Times and BusinessWeek since 2003 to 2013.

The CA Sri Lanka – Duke CE Strategic Thinking programme will be conducted by Dr. Tony O’Driscoll, Executive Director of DUKE CE, who commands an 18-year industry career, having held leadership positions with Nortel Networks and IBM and Prof. Nikhil Raval, Managing Director of Duke CE India Ltd., who comes with close to two decades of combined experience in Corporate, Consulting and Academia.

In October last year, CA Sri Lanka introduced Duke CE for the first time in the country by conducting a program on ‘Strategic Leadership: Leading Effective Execution in Uncertain Times’ which was well received by the corporate community.

Mr. Namal Gamage, Chief Manager Legal Department – Commercial Bank PLC, who participated at last year’s programme said that,“the programme on ‘Strategic Leadership: Leading Effective Execution in Uncertain Times’ by Duke CE introduced a whole new dimension to the concept of leadership.’

The two-day Duke CE Strategic Thinking workshop in June will focus on the essential element of strategic thinking. The programme aims to teach delegates how to think strategically every day in their roles as well as be part of the business planning process, and will help them to develop strategic insight, define a strategic vision and create new strategic ideas. During the programme, participants will also learn a simple 3-step thinking process and a selection of practical strategic thinking tools that enable them to formulate business strategies and think about the big picture.

The CA Sri Lanka-DUKE CE Strategic Thinking Program which has been specially designed for managers who head key departments, business units, and regional operations, members of project teams, and middle and senior level executives with the authority to plan and execute strategy in their organisations.
