"Donate to Educate" a CSR Initiative by CA Students’ Society Concludes Successfully

“Donate to Educate”, the CSR project organized by the Chartered Accountants Students’ Society (CA Students’ Society) was successfully held at WP/HO Kirimatiwalakada Primary School, Govinna amidst a gathering of the students, parents, teachers and other well wishers. This was a project aimed at spending a fun-filled day with our dear brothers and sisters of the less privileged School and donating various necessities to the students and to the institution.

The delegates from the Society were warmly welcomed by the teachers and the students of the school. It was heart-warming to hear the welcome note being read out by young pupils in all three languages. The proceedings officially kick started with the recital of the National Anthem and the lighting of the traditional Oil Lamp.

The event kicked off with a line-up of fun-filled games designed specially by the Society to involve students of all grades. Children of all ages thoroughly enjoyed a day off from the ordinary proceedings of school. The simple but scrumptious lunch prepared by the parents of the school was an amazing experience that will be cherished by the participants.

The evening session was brightened by some eye catching dance items performed by the students of the school. The gathering was amazed at the display of such talent by these kids. This was followed by a session of musical chairs with live acoustic music supplied by the talented CA Students’ Society crew, themselves.

And then, moving on to the most important item on the agenda the CA Students’ Society handed over the goods to the school and to the students. Items that were donated to the school included a School Name Board, steel cupboards, Teacher’s chairs, Library books, recommended text books, a first-aid box and sports equipments. The gift pack presented to each individual student included a school bag, uniform materials, a pair of school shoes, pencil cases and essential stationery items such as exercise books, drawing books, pens and pencils.

It was very pleasing to see the satisfied little faces, delighted at the receipt of such valuable items.

The CA Students’ Society takes this opportunity to thank each and every individual and organization that came up and supported this worthy cause in every possible way they could. The society also wishes to make a special mention on the contribution made by the Young Chartered Accountants Forum, the Member Events Sub-committee, the Council Members and the Staff of Institute of Chartered Accountants of Sri Lanka, Ex- CA Students’ Society Members, all the member firms and the Social Committee of the CA Students’ Society, in making this event a huge success.
