Information Technology

Information Technology is imperative for the success of long term career goals of a professional. With this objective, the Institute of Chartered Accountants of Sri Lanka recognizes the IT Faculty as a vital element of the Institute.

The IT Faculty has been identified as a primary learning centre for professionals and students who aspire to keep up with current market trends in the IT arena and keep abreast with constant changes taking place across the globe.

The IT Faculty offers computer courses at three different levels for CA Sri Lanka students. The faculty ensures the syllabi in line with the theory they learn and thereby students are confident to carry out their day to day work in an automated environment.

Meanwhile, the faculty also caters to specialized IT themes by organizing workshops and seminars on Forensic Accounting and Fraud Detection, Security Management System Audit Training, End User Security and Cloud Computing which are resourced by local and foreign qualified personnel.

Furthermore, the faculty annually conducts a Diploma in Information System Security Control  Audit in collaboration with ICA India which aims to broaden awareness in the IS security  and  another course titled Microsoft Excel for Advanced User Programme.

The objective of the IT Faculty is

“The IT Training Division of the Institute of Chartered Accountants of Sri Lanka
is committed to develop and deliver IT training programs, workshops, seminars, and lectures
on various technological topics for students, members and the general public
with high value and continue to improve the knowledge
on a broad spectrum of IT related areas to improve knowledge and skills and
level of satisfaction of these stakeholders by focusing on their requirements.”

Notice

Closing date for CAB II Compulsory IT Training is 31st May 2012.

Late applications will be accepted with a penalty of Rs 1000.00 until 30th June 2012. Application deadlines are strictly enforced.  Any application form received after the deadline will not be considered.
